Executive Function + Mindset Coaching

Yes, my specialty is math education. I also deeply understand how children learn, the complex needs of our asynchronous kids, how to coach for developing executive function skills, how to uncover and illuminate the strengths and gifts of students, and how to design lessons that are aligned to student interests.

I am particularly adept at working with students who are struggling with the emotional aspects of learning. Often, what struggling students need is someone to teach them the right tools and habits to become a more effective learner. And, invariably, because they’ve have struggled for some time and worked twice as hard as their peers to keep up, they need someone who also understands the emotional component of being asked to make a change.

Educational Coaches, unlike tutors, have a mission to do just that. Specialists and Educational Coaches, and their cousins, Educational Therapists, teach students how to succeed not only in the short-term, but in the long-term as well.
