My practice supports a wide range of learners whose math experiences have left them befuddled and unsatisfied.

I am here to support...

-
struggling learners who need a fresh approach and consistent coaching.
-
non-traditional students.
-
out-of-the-box thinkers.
-
bright and quirky students.
-
homeschoolers and unschoolers.
-
students who are also dedicated athletes or artists.
Intervention
I work broadly with students, often replacing and/or supplementing school curriculum for students who are struggling. I provide intensive interventions and assessments to track progress, and to help students with gaining foundational skills they lack. Additionally, I teach students techniques to cope with learning and thinking differences, and to understand how these issues affect their academic performance and behavior. Social-emotional learning, and non-academic skills like organization, problem solving, self-advocacy, time management, and growth mindset are developed along the way.

Too often the most creative students tune out and disengage from math as a subject they deem irrelevant and uninteresting. And our most precocious math thinkers can become bored and understimulated, finding little good to say about school.
My educational materials and teaching techniques are designed to challenge students and help them to broaden their skills and deepen their understanding of math.
